Boyd Vander Laan | Visit Guest Book
VANDERLAAN - Boyd P. Vander Laan, age 92, of Hudsonville, went to be with his Lord on Monday, August 29, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Fritzi. He is survived by his children, Christie and John Lambregtse of Wayland, Boyd E. and Andrea VanderLaan of Buchanan, Steve and Luanne VanderLaan of Rockford; grandchildren, Buddy VanderLaan, Cinnamon and Scott Mellema; his special great granddaughter, Johnnie Mellema; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Boyd was a WWII Navy veteran and a sports enthusiast. A memorial service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Hudsonville Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. Eric Thorsen officiating. Interment Georgetown Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family at the VanderLaan Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice or Hospice of Michigan.
